Archiarchy is a term invented by Clinton Callahan in 2007 to describe the “regenerative human culture naturally emerging around the world now that Matriarchy and Patriarchy have run their course.”
In Clinton’s Word: “Archiarchy comes to life through archetypally initiated adult women creatively collaborating with archetypally initiated adult men.”
So clearly, authentic adulthood initiations are key.
However, Archiarchy is also based on a very central premise, which is that Gaia is a living being that is evolving, and the human beings live inside Gaia and are the body of manifestation of parts of her being.
Thus Archiarchy is a term that encapsulates what we could call a “spiritual worldview”. But it is a spiritual worldview of a special flavor, namely one that is built on Radical Responsibility.
Radical Responsibility is being inescapably responsible for the level of responsibility being taken in any gameworld and any space, even when it looks like there is no gameworld and no space. The playing field of Radical Responsibility is the Archetypal Domains, which are accessed through the Doorway of the Decontaminated Adult Ego State. The Archetypal Domains are where human beings can creatively collaborate in, and enjoy the ecstasies of, Archetypal Five Body Intimacy Journeys.
Archiarchy grows out of Possibility Management (PM), and while the two terms have been used somewhat indiscriminately int he past, it is becoming clear that they are really two different things. One way of putting it is that Possibility Management is “thoughtware for Archiarchy”.
But in addition to distinguishing between PM and Archiarchy, I believe it is also necessary to distinguish between:
- Archan perspective expressed through the 7 rays (different qualities of consciousness).
- Archan perspectives expressed in at 5 different levels of awareness.
Read more about the 7 rays and Archiarchy in my article: Confronting the Global Gremlins.
In an attempt to create clarity, I have chosen to distinguish between the following five expressions of Archiarchy:
- Philosophy: This is Archiarchy as a set of philosophical ideas, that sets it apart from the materialistic, patriarchal culture that precedes it.
- Culture: This is Archiarchy at its most basic as ways of relating and behaving, that marks it as different from modern culture (patriarchal empire).
- Healing space: This is Archiarchy as a way of relating to one self and beginning on a path of Radical Healing.
- Path of Initiation: This is Archiarchy for possibilitators based on Radical Responsibility.
- Archetypal Domains: Archiarchy as a doorway to the nameless mysteries.
The point in creating this distinction is that due to the origin of Archiarchy, and the way it is currently practiced, there is a tendency to equate Archiarchy with a fairly advanced level of practice (levels 3-5) and a first ray orientation that comes from Possibility Management. This has been illustrated in the figure, shown in pink.
Thus, if one’s frame of reference of “what constitutes Archiarchy” is the pink area – and the skill and orientation represented by it – it excludes a lot of people and gameworlds that are not highly skilled in inner navigation and explicitly founded in Possibility Management.
If we consider “Archiarchy” as an overarching framework of a new culture, then I think it would be useful with a broad definition of what constitutes Archan gameworlds that does not include a long list of PM distinctions. A proposal for the minimal criteria an “Archan Gameworld” would have to satisfy, in order to be considered Archan, is:
Archiarchy is a regenerative human culture where archetypally initiated men and women hold power together and govern themselves through inner authority, radical responsibility, and conscious collaboration. It is a culture that recognizes Gaia as a living being, is non-authoritarian, purpose-driven and structured through clarity, agreements, and conscious ownership of our underworld.
In addition to this, one could create additional definitions for:
- Archan Cultural Hubs
- Archan Healing Spaces
- Archan Centers of Initiation
- Archan Centers of Group Synthesis
With adding appropriate distinctions to each level.
With these distinctions it becomes easier to talk about Archiarchy and what may cause Archiarchy to happen (or not) because we have a clarity of which kind of Archiarchy, and how advanced a version of Archiarchy, we are talking about, instead of conflating the many different manifestations of Archiarchy into a single thing.
