What if wars are not won by the most powerful weapons, but by the most powerful prayers?

The fabric of the modern world is in tatters, and as the world gradually slides towards authoritarianism, inequality and war, it is more important than ever to gain a greater perspective on what is really going on – an esoteric perspective that understands the power of the unseen worlds.

From an esoteric perspective the rise in authoritarianism and chaos, that we are currently witnessing, is not just a chance occurring. It is closely related to spiritual causes dating back to the Second World War (WWII) – or more precisely: to unfinished business in relation to the war.

In the post WWII years (1945-53), following six grueling years of war against the evilest regime humankind has ever seen, the US were quick to wreck the chance of a an enlightened, peaceful and united world, by ruthlessly pursuing policies of self-interest, largely ignoring the beautiful ideals behind the newly created “United Nations”.

Esoterically it is said that “WWII closed the door to cosmic evil, but did not seal it.” Now, 80 years after the war, we are therefore once more faced with the same ancient evil, only in a new form.

In the book “The Externalization of the Hierarchy”, by Alice Bailey (written 1919-49, first published 1957), Master D.K. (aka “The Tibetan”) recounts how the Hierarchy of spiritual masters looked upon the world conflict (WWII), and explains how the war was NOT won by arms, but because the Hierarchy (the White Lodge) was able to “sustain a higher point of tension” than the forces of materiality (the Black Lodge).

He goes on to say that “When the sun moved northwards in 1942 (winter equinox, Dec. 21.), we knew that the war had been won. Now it just needed to be fought to the end.” He also explains how the development of the nuclear bomb was intimately related to the war, because “it was the imminent discovery of the splitting of the atom that was the subjective cause behind the war.”

It is clear from these passages that the concept of “a point of tension” is a very important one. But what does it really mean?

1942: Pivotal Decisions

If we look at what happened in 1942, three events stand out from an esoteric perspective.

• At January 1^st 1942, a treaty was signed called “The Declaration by United Nations” outlining a pact whereby all the signatories (later known as the Allied forces) commit their full resources to defeat Hitlerism. This was 3 weeks after Pearl Harbor.
• On January 19^th 1942, Roosevelt formally authorized the development of the nuclear bomb (The Manhattan project, led by Robert Oppenheimer)
• On November 23^rd 1942, Russian tanks, that had rolled over the frozen Volga river, met in a great pincer movement, cutting of German supplies to Stalingrad. Stalingrad fell two months later in what is generally regarded as the major turning point of the war.

Why are these events important?

Because they represent important points of tension:

• The “Declaration by United Nations” treaty created what become known as the Allied forces, and brought into being an unwavering commitment, on behalf of the world’s democracies, to bring the sacrifices needed – whatever they were – to end the menace of Hitlerism.
• The decision to create the nuclear bomb meant that the US committed its full resources to win the race to master this technology and do everything they could so that it would not end up on in German hands – “for their motives were compellingly wrong” (The Tibetan).
• The successful cutting off of the overstretched German supply lines meant that Stalingrad would not fall to the Germans, preventing Hitler from reaching the oil fields in the Caucasus that he desperately needed to fuel his war machine.

Thus, from a higher perspective it makes sense that the outcome of the war could be called in December 1943. These events marked the turning point of the war on both the physical and the mental/spiritual battlefields.

Achieving the “Point of Tension”

But what allowed the political and military leaders to successfully catalyze humanity into action?

According to “The Externalization of the Hierarchy” it was because of an alignment between Humanity, the Hierarchy, Shamballa – and an unexpected intervention by a group of extraplanetary beings called “the Lords of Liberation.” According to the Tibetan, these beings were, “touched by the fervent prayers of Humanity” and the Hierarchy was very surprised at the turn of events.

This intervention is probably the most important and impactful divine intervention in modern times. And an important aspect of this (and all other such interventions) is that, the Hierarchy goes to great lengths to avoid it being obvious that an intervention took place, making it look as if it was merely chance events.

We are told by the Tibetan, that The Lords of Liberation created an ice winter over Russia in 1942/43 so cold that the tanks could roll across the Volga. Moreover they “channeled the power to know” away from the German scientists, so they could not concentrate, and similarly stimulated the allied scientists to the point of success.

Thus, to sum up: The success in creating the nuclear bomb AND the successful defense of Stalingrad, may both be due to divine intervention. That ought to give everybody pause, if they think that prayers do not work.

But what is the point in recounting all this?

The point has to do with understanding the concept of “a point of tension”.

A point of tension is an intention, using the power of Will to shift reality towards that which you WANT. Not by using desire, but by using WILL.

The Attempt to Possess Humankind

In the Second World War cosmic evil tried to possess humankind through the agency of the German people.

Today the same forces try to possess humankind through the agency of global corporations.

The underlying power is the same.

These forces cannot be conquered by appeasement or by hoping they will go away if we think positively.

These forces are well-organized, well-funded, have a clear agenda and are completely ruthless.

The way they CAN be defeated is by creating a visionary alliance, that will do for World War III (for that is really what we are in right now) what the military alliance did for WWII.

In the Externalization of the Hierarchy, the Tibetan explains how the power of Shambhala (1^st ray) was working through the British empire, the power of the Hierarchy (2^nd ray) was working through the United States, and the power of Humanity (3^rd ray) was working through Russia. By pooling their resources and aligning their aims, they were able to overcome the menace and “chase evil back to whence it came”.

When considering this alignment, it is worth noting that:

• Possibility Management is about harnessing the power of Will (1^st ray).
• Esoteric work is about raising consciousness and serving Love-Wisdom (2^nd ray).
• The Ecovillage movement is about building new habitats in concert with the living Earth (3^rd ray).

Thus, while there are many differences, there are also important similarities to the past (WWII) alliance that is worth noting, and the very differences that exist between these groups – differences that will not make a genuine alignment easy – are also the very reason why this alliance will be incredible powerful if, and when, it gets going.

Finding Common Ground

For these three groups to find a common ground, and understand that the choice they face is either to work together on manifesting shared ideals for an enlightened world, or standing by while the powers of materiality rape the Earth, is a powerful point of tension.

The heart of this point of tension is to realize, that this is really the choice before us. If we do not stand together, if we let the minor divisions in objectives and methods overshadow the great commonality there is in the basic principles we hold sacred, then we play the games of our enemies.

And here, you might argue that “there are no enemies”. And that is right, up to a point. In the grand scheme of things, there are no enemies, because even the darkest evil serve to cultivate love and light in the long run – there is truth in that.

But apart from the fact that “in the long run, we will all be dead”, the light that is born because of great evil, is born because of the decisive stand it is necessary to take against it, in order to liberate the Earth and humanity from all the manifestation of this evil.

This is a paradox, and unless we grasp this paradox, and stand firm in upholding the values and principles we believe in, then these forces of the global underworld will exploit any crack in our resolve and through it shatter enlightened visions and poison our world.

During WWII, the powers of evil came closer to achieving their aims than anyone had dreamt of, we are told by the Tibetan. For four full months in 1942, the Hierarchy made every conceivable preparation to step back, fearing that humanity would “go down in flames, due to its sordid nature”, but the catastrophe was averted. In what manner we are not told, only that it was connected with the Lords of Liberation taking certain unprecedented steps, due to the intense prayers of peace rising up from humanity.

And now we are here again, with the same forces seeking to confuse and subjugate humanity, and just as during WWII, there are many, perhaps even the majority, who does not recognize what is really going on, rooting for the madness and supporting the rise of tyranny.

To counter all that, we need a powerful point of tension, embodying love, clarity and the will to sacrifice. And that is what this alliance between Possibilitators, Ecovillagers and Esotericists is all about.
